      How to Activate the Cart Reminder

      The Cart Reminder automatically sends an email to customers who didn’t complete their purchase. In order for this feature to work, the customer must have entered their email address during checkout.

      Follow these steps to activate the Cart Reminder:

      1. Log in to the ikas Dashboard:

        Sign in to your ikas Dashboard.

      2. Go to Automations:

        In the left-hand menu, click on Sales Channel B2C > Automations.

      3. Activate the Cart Reminder:

        • In the Abandoned Checkout section, click the Activate button on the right.
        • Tick the checkbox at the top right to enable the feature.

      4. Configure the Cart Reminder:

        • Click Add Flow to create a new flow.
        • Define after how many hours the notification should be sent (up to 24 hours).
        • Choose whether the notification should be sent to active, registered accounts only or also to those with marketing email consent.
        • Select Email as the notification type.
        • If needed, click Add Flow to create additional reminders with different settings.

      5. Customize the Email Content:

        Click Edit Email to customize the content of your message. Learn more about editing emails here.

      6. Add a Campaign (Optional):

        • Click Create Campaign on the right to integrate a discount offer into your reminder email.
        • Set a clear title for your campaign.
        • Choose the appropriate discount type:
          • Percentage Discount: A fixed percentage is deducted from the total order value.
          • Tiered Discount: The discount amount changes based on order quantity or cart value. You can define different ranges and percentages.
        • Optionally, enable the option to include discounted products in the campaign.
        • Decide whether the discount can be combined with other campaigns.
        • Don’t forget to save your campaign.

      7. Save Settings:

        Click Save at the top right to apply your settings and activate the Cart Reminder.
