What is Stripe and how do I connect it with ikas?
Stripe is a modern payment platform that allows you to integrate various payment methods into your online store — including credit cards and many region-specific alternatives.

Stripe is a platform that helps you expand your range of payment methods and optimize the checkout experience for your customers. You can offer multiple payment options and manage which of them appear on your checkout page.
With Stripe, you can enable payments via bank and credit cards, among many others. Here’s a list of supported payment methods:

When you first set up your Stripe account, only certain payment methods are enabled by default. However, you can freely choose which ones to activate or deactivate within your Stripe settings.
How do I connect Stripe to ikas?
You can integrate Stripe directly through your ikas Dashboard:

Log in to your ikas Dashboard.

Open the desired sales channel from the left-hand menu.

Click on the Payment Settings tab.

Select Add Payment Method, then click on Stripe.

Click the Connect your Stripe Account button.

You will be redirected to Stripe. Enter the email address of your Stripe business account and click Submit.

Enter your password and click Continue.
Note: You can either use existing business information or create a new business account. You’ll be asked to provide personal or company-related details and your bank account information. Click Agree and Submit to complete the connection process.
The PayPal payment method will now be listed under Sales Channel > Payment Settings.
Adjust Stripe settings

Go to the PayPal detail page and deactivate test mode (closed state).

Set a minimum or maximum order value if needed.

Click on Edit Active Countries and select the countries where PayPal should be offered.

In the Payment Method Configurations section, you can see which payment methods are currently active under each Configuration ID. Based on this, you can select the desired payment_method_configuration_id at the top and save your changes.
Note: If you want to make changes to the available payment methods, you’ll need to do so directly in your Stripe Dashboard.
How does the payment process work?

Customer selects Stripe:
During checkout, the customer chooses Stripe as their preferred payment method. -
Order receives the status "Payment Received":
The order will be marked accordingly in your system.
Your Stripe account should now be successfully connected and ready to use!
