Have you decided to use the Twilio for Whatsapp app to notify your customers via SMS? Then follow this guide to quickly and easily set up the Twilio for Whatsapp app.
Prepare your Twilio account

Log in to your Twilio account.

On the account dashboard page, click on Get phone number.

A phone number will be generated. Copy the following values:

Account SID

Auth Token
-
Phone Numbe

Install and set up the Twilio for Whatsapp app
- Open your ikas dashboard and go to Apps > Appstore.
- Install the Twilio for Whatsapp app.
- After installation, you'll find it under Apps > My Apps. Open the app and go to Settings.
- Enter the copied Twilio values into the corresponding fields.
- Select the sales channels and conditions under which SMS notifications should be sent.
- Check the box to accept the Terms of Use.
- Click Save to complete the setup.
Edit SMS templates

Go to Apps > My Apps > Twilio for Whatsapp app > Templates.

Edit the SMS templates according to your requirements. Adjust the message text and insert placeholders into the message content if needed.
Enable Twilio for cart reminders

Go to Sales Channel > Automations.

Enable the Twilio Whatsapp feature for the cart reminder automation to notify customers via Whatsapp.
