To create or adjust product and search filters for your website, follow these steps:

Log into your ikas Dashboard:
Log into your ikas Dashboard.

Access Settings:
In the left menu, click on Settings and select the Filters and Search section.
Create Product and Search Filters
Create filters to help customers find what they're looking for more easily. Here’s how:

Create a Filter:
Click on Create Product Filter.

General Settings:
- Filter Type: Choose the filter type (e.g., Brands, Variants, Tags).
- Filter Name: Enter the name that will be displayed to your customers.
- Filter Display: Choose how the filter will appear (e.g., box, list, swatch).
- Filter Selection: Decide whether customers can select only one or multiple values.
- Filter Values: Set whether all values should be shown or just a specific range.

Advanced Settings:
Optimize the sorting and adjust further details for a better user experience.

Save:
Save your changes.
🔹 Example 1:
- Filter Type: Price
- Filter Name: Price
- Filter Display: Number Range (Slider)
- Filter Values: 0 – 500

- Filter Type: Brands
- Filter Name: Brands
- Filter Display: List (Checkboxes)
- Filter Selection: Multiple selections allowed
- Filter Values: All available brands (e.g. Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance)
➡️ Effect: Customers can select multiple brands to view products only from their preferred brands.

- Filter Type: Colour variant
- Filter Name: Colour
- Filter Display: Swatches (e.g. color dots)
- Filter Selection: Multiple selections allowed
- Filter Values: All available colors (e.g. Black, White, Beige, Red)
➡️ Effect: Customers can filter products by one or several colors at the same time, e.g. Black and White.
Add Synonyms for Search Terms
Make it easier for customers to find products by adding synonyms. Here’s how:

Create New Synonym Groups:
Click on Create Synonym Group and enter a main word and its associated synonyms.

Functionality:
- One-way: Searching for a synonym will also return the main word.
- Two-way: Both the main word and its synonyms will be recognized in searches.

Save your changes.

- Root Word: Sneaker
- Synonyms: Trainers, Sports shoes, Kicks
- Search Type: When customers search for “Kicks” or “Trainers”, products listed as “Sneaker” will also appear in the search results.
Add Search Suggestions
Create word groups to highlight products in search suggestions. Here’s how:

Add Search Suggestions:
Click on Add Search Suggestion and enter the desired search terms.

Assign Products:
Under Add Product, assign the relevant products to the search term and set their priority.

Save:
Save your changes.

- Search Term: “Trending Sneakers 2025”, “Trend”, “Summer 2025”
- Assigned products: Nike Air Force 1, Adidas Samba, Puma Cali
- Priority: High, so these products appear at the top of the search results.
Customize Search Settings
Adjust your search options and priorities: Here’s how:
- Edit Sorting:
- Go to Sorting Settings > Edit and enable or disable search options.
- Prioritize Search Criteria:
- Under Level 1, define the primary criteria (e.g., Name or Price).
- Under Level 2, you can adjust secondary criteria.
- Additional Options:
- Refine the search by adding tags and attributes to products and setting them as search criteria.
🔹 Example for Search Settings:
- Sorting options: Sort by Sales Volume, Sort by Price, Sort by Rating, Sort Alphabetically
- Level 1: Product Name (highest priority), Variant Value, Brand
- Level 2: SKU, Barcode, Category
