      How to Create Brands

      To create brands, including your private label, follow these steps:

      1. Log in to the ikas Dashboard:

        Sign in to your ikas dashboard.

      2. Access Brands:

        In the left menu, click on Products > Definitions and select Brands.

      3. Create a Brand:

        Click on the Add New Brand button.

      4. Fill in General Information:

        • Brand Name: Choose a name for the brand.
        • Description: The brand description will be displayed on the brand page. Here you can insert text, images, links, videos, and tables. Use relevant keywords to improve the brand's discoverability. Please note that the description is limited to 32,000 characters.
        • Image: Upload an image in .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .webp format. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

      5. Sort Products:

        In the Products section, define how the products in this category should be sorted by default.

      6. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

        This section is filled in automatically:

        • The slug and page title are generated based on the brand name.
        • The meta description is generated based on the brand description.

        You can manually adjust any of these by editing the fields. A preview is shown on the right.

        • Prevent Crawling: If you want to block search engines from crawling this page, check this box. Crawling is the process where search engines use automated bots to scan web content for indexing and ranking.
        • Canonical URL: Use this to specify the preferred version of a page when multiple URLs have similar content.

      7. Sales Channels and Visibility:

        In the Sales Channels section at the top right corner, you can specify which sales channels the brand will be available on.

      8. Save the Brand:

        Don't forget to save your changes.

      9. Delete a Brand (Optional):

        If you want to delete a created brand, open the brand, click on the Three-Dot Button next to the Save button at the top right, and select Delete.
