How to Verify a Facebook Domain?

If you use a link to your website in your Facebook ads and want to edit the title or description, you must confirm that the domain belongs to you. This guide explains how to verify your domain using a DNS TXT record.

Add Domain for Verification

  1. Log in to Meta Business Manager: business.facebook.com

  2. Go to Settings in the lower-left corner.

  3. Click on the Brand safety ans suitability tab and then on Domains.

  4. Click Add, then select Create a Domain.

  5. Enter the domain name you want to verify.

Choose Verification Method

  1. Select the verification option Update the DNS TXT record with your domain registrar.
  2. Meta will now show you a unique TXT record.

Add TXT Record to Your Domain Provider

  1. Log in to your domain provider’s admin area.

  2. Navigate to the DNS settings of your domain and add the previously copied TXT record.

Note: The user interface may vary depending on your domain provider. If you need help, please contact your provider’s support team directly.

Verify the Domain on Facebook

Go back to the Meta Business Manager and click Verify Domain.

Note: It may take some time for the DNS record to take effect, depending on the provider. If verification is not successful on the first attempt, wait a bit and try again later by clicking Verify Domain.
