How to Set Up and Use the IT-Recht Kanzlei App

Have you decided to use the IT-Recht Kanzlei? Then use the IT-Recht Kanzlei app in the ikas app store to automatically update your legal texts.

What is the IT-Recht Kanzlei?

The IT-Recht Kanzlei is a specialized law firm offering legal advice and services in the areas of IT law and e-commerce. This especially includes the creation and regular updating of legal texts for websites and online shops.

With the IT-Recht Kanzlei app in the ikas app store, you can automatically transfer and keep your legal texts up to date.


Setting up the IT-Recht Kanzlei App

  1. Log in to the ikas dashboard.

  2. In the left menu, go to Apps > Appstore.

  3. Search for the IT-Recht Kanzlei app and install it.

  4. Open the app under Apps > My Apps.

  5. Go to the app’s settings (Einstellungen).

  6. Activate the sales channels (Verkaufskanäle) for which the legal texts should apply.

  7. Save (Speichern) the settings.

  8. Copy the API token and API URL from the app.


Set up the interface in the IT-Recht Kanzlei dashboard

  1. Log in to the IT-Recht Kanzlei dashboard.

  2. Click on Manage Interfaces (Schnittstellen verwalten).

  3. Click on Set up New Interface (Neue Schnittstelle einrichten).

  4. Select Inhouse-Individualshop as the system and click Next (Weiter).

  5. Enter a name for your shop (Shop-Name).

  6. Paste the API URL and API token copied from the ikas dashboard.

  7. Save (Speichern) the settings.

  8. Activate the transmission by checking the box labeled Transmit.


Final steps in the ikas dashboard

  1. Return to the ikas dashboard.

  2. Open the IT-Recht Kanzlei app under Apps > My Apps.

  3. Also activate the transmission here via the checkbox.

  4. Save (Speichern) the settings.

  5. After refreshing the page, you should see the last update date of the legal texts.


Using the App

  • The legal texts will now automatically appear in the ikas dashboard under Settings > Policy.

  • You can adjust the settings, but do not modify the section "PolicyTemplate", as changes here will be overwritten during updates.

  • The legal texts are regularly updated automatically.

Important: Although the legal texts are automatically updated in Settings > Policies, you still need to manually create pages (e.g. Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, etc.) in your theme, link them in the footer, and keep them up to date manually.
