If you're switching from another e-commerce platform to ikas, you can redirect your old URLs to your new ikas URLs.
If you're migrating from a different e-commerce platform to ikas or already have an existing website, redirects can help you retain your previous search engine index rankings.
If this is your first website, you can skip this section.
What is a 301 or 302 Redirect?
301 Redirect:
A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect from an old URL to a new one. It signals both search engines and users that the page has been permanently moved. This type of redirect transfers SEO rankings and ensures that the new URL is correctly indexed by search engines. It’s especially important when migrating from another e-commerce platform or changing your domain to maintain your traffic and search rankings.
302 Redirect:
A 302 redirect is a temporary redirect used when a page should temporarily point to a different URL. It signals to search engines that the original page is still valid and should remain in the index, but is currently unavailable. This type of redirect is useful for maintenance work or seasonal updates.
How to Set Up a Redirect?

In the left-hand menu, click on your Sales Channel B2C > SEO & Domain.
-
Add a Redirect:
- In the Redirects section, click Edit Redirects on the right.
- Click the Add Redirect button.
- Enter both the old URL and the new URL. Be sure to enter only the path after the domain name, e.g.:
