How to Manually Create Customers

Normally, customers are automatically created when they place an order in your shop. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to manually create customer profiles — for example, for sales outside of the shop, such as through WhatsApp or phone, or for internal management purposes.

To manually create customers, follow these steps:

  1. Login to the ikas Dashboard

    Sign into your ikas Dashboard.

  2. Access Customers

    Click on the Customers > Customers tab in the left menu.

  3. Add a New Customer

    Click on the Add New Customer button.

  4. Create Customer Profile

    The Customer Detail Page will open. Please enter the required information as follows. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    • Name & Surname: Enter the customer's first and last name.
    • Email: Enter the email address the customer will use to log in.
    • Phone Number: Select the country code and enter the phone number.
    • Preferred Language: Choose the customer’s preferred language from the dropdown menu.
    • B2B Status: If a B2B shop is being used, you can set the customer’s status here.
  5. Add an Address

    • Click on Add New Address.
    • Enter the required information:
      • Title: Give the address a label.
      • Country: Select the country.
      • First & Last Name: Enter the customer’s first and last name.
      • Identification Number: If necessary, enter the customer’s identification number.
      • Street, House Number, Postal Code & City: Enter the customer's address.
      • Phone Number: Select the country code and enter the phone number.
      • Set as Default Address: Enable this option if the address should be set as the default address.
      • Private/Corporate Billing: Choose whether it’s a personal or business billing address. For business billing, the Company Name and VAT ID will be required.
    • Click Save to secure the address.
  6. Add More Addresses (Optional)

    If necessary, you can add more addresses by clicking Add New Address.

  7. Add Customer Notes

    If there are any special notes or information regarding the customer, you can enter them here.

  8. Set Marketing Preferences

    • Manually assign Groups or Tags to the customer.
    • Decide whether the customer can receive Marketing Emails, such as newsletters, offers, or promotions.
  9. Fill Out Customer Properties

    If additional fields have been created in the settings under Settings > Customer Custom Fields, you can fill them out here.

  10. Save

    Click Save to secure the created customer profile.
