Efficient management of product data is crucial for running your online store. Whether you want to add new products, update existing data, or modify a large number of products at once — with the import and export feature in ikas, you can handle this quickly and easily. Here's how it works.
For a smooth import process, your data must be in the correct format. Structured preparation ensures that your product data is processed accurately. Below, you'll learn how to import your products optimally.
To import products correctly, follow these steps:

Log in to the ikas Dashboard:
Sign in to your ikas Dashboard.

Select Products in the Dashboard:
In the left menu, navigate to Products and then select Products.
Import for new products (if they don’t yet exist in your shop):
If the products are not yet in your store, you can add them using an import template. Here’s how:

Download the product import template:
First, download a product import template. This template will help you prepare your product data in a structured, predefined format. You can learn how to do this here.

Edit the template:
Open the downloaded template in Google Sheets. For more information on editing it, click here.

Import the data:
After editing the template, you can import it back into your ikas Dashboard.
- In the menu, go to Products > Products and click Import in the upper right corner.
- Select the prepared CSV file and upload it.

Import for existing products:
If you already have products in your shop and want to update or adjust them, you can first export them, edit them, and then re-import them. Here’s how:

Edit the data:
Open the downloaded file in Google Sheets. For more information on editing the data, click here.

Import the updated data:
Once you've finished editing the data, you can re-import the file back into your ikas Dashboard.
