How to Create Blog Categories

Blog categories are a great way to organize your posts neatly and allow your visitors easy navigation. Here’s how you can create a new blog category:

1. Login to the ikas Dashboard:

   Sign in to your ikas dashboard.

2. Access the Blog Section:

   In the left menu, click on Sales Channel B2C > Blog.

3. Add a New Blog Category:

   Select the Categories tab and click on the + New Category button.

4. Create a New Blog Category:

   • Name: Choose a meaningful name for the category.
   • Language: Select the language for the category.
   • Slug and Page Title: The slug and page title will automatically be derived from the category name, but you can change them if desired.
   • Description: Enter a short and concise description of the category to give visitors more context.
   • Advanced SEO Settings (Optional):
     • Prevent Crawling: If you do not want this category to be indexed by search engines, check the box.
     • Canonical URL: If there are multiple similar pages, you can enter the preferred URL here to signal to search engines which page is the most important.
   • Image: Upload an attractive image that visually supports your category.

5. Save:

   Click Save to secure your blog category.
