      How to Create a Price List Based on Exchange Rates

      A price list based on exchange rates allows you to automatically adjust prices according to the current exchange rate or define a fixed rate manually. This offers a practical solution for serving international markets efficiently.

      To create a price list based on exchange rates, follow these steps:

      1. Log in to your ikas Dashboard:

        Sign in to your ikas Dashboard.

      2. Access Price Lists:

        Click on Products > Price Lists in the left-hand menu.

      3. Add a New Price List:

        Click the Add Price List button. A window will appear where you can choose from the following options:

        • Manual Price List: A list where prices are entered and managed manually. You can find more information here.
        • Exchange Rate Price List: A list that automatically adjusts based on the current or a manually defined exchange rate. 
        • Dynamic Price List: A list that automatically adjusts according to predefined conditions and rules. You can find more information here.

      4. Select Exchange Rate Price List:

        Choose Exchange Rate Price List and click Continue.

      5. Create the Price List:

        • Assign a name to the price list.
        • Select the target currency.
        • Click Save.

        After saving, the detail page of the price list will open. Under General Information, you’ll find the name of the price list, the target currency, and the price rounding format.

      6. Set Price Rounding (optional):

        Define how the prices should be rounded after conversion. A preview of the rounding format will be displayed to the right of the setting.

      7. Determine the Exchange Rate:

        You can choose between two options:

        • Determine by Current Rate:
          • Under Base Price List, select the source price list to be used as the basis for conversion.
          • The current exchange rate will be displayed on the right.
        • Determine Manually:
          • Under Based Price List, select the source price list to be used as the basis.
          • Enter your desired manual exchange rate in the input field on the right.

      8. Add Products to the Price List:

        Under Products, click Add Product to include desired products in the price list.

        You can choose between two options:

        • Add All Products: All products will be automatically added to the price list.
        • Add Products Manually:
          • Select the desired products by ticking the checkboxes to the left of each product name. To select all, use the checkbox at the top of the list.
          • Click Add Selection.

        Note: Products that are not added to the price list will not be available in countries that use this price list.

      9. View Prices:

        Added products will be listed on the detail page. The regular and discounted prices for both the source and target currency will be shown.

      10. Delete Products (optional):

        If you want to remove a product from the price list:

        • Select the product using the checkbox.
        • Click the Delete button that appears above the product list.

      11. Save or Delete the Price List:

        Click the Save button in the top right corner to save the new price list. If you want to delete the price list, you can do so via the button on the detail page.

      Note: A price list must be activated in the Localization Settings before it can be used.
