How to Activate or Manage Product Reviews

With the product review automation, you can automatically notify your customers via email once their order has been completed and invite them to leave a review.

Enable the product review automation

Follow these steps to activate the product review automation:

  1. Log in to the ikas dashboard:

    Sign in to your ikas dashboard.

  2. Open the Automations section:

    In the left-hand menu, click on Sales Channel B2C > Automations.

  3. Activate the product review automation:

    • In the Product Reviews section, click the Activate button on the right.
    • Then enable the product review automation using the checkbox at the top right.
  4. Configure the product review automation:

    Scroll down to the Settings section and adjust the following:

    • Basic Settings:
      • Email Send Time: Define when the email should be sent based on the order status.
      • Customer Review: Specify how and where the customer can submit a review.
      • Approval Process: Decide whether reviews should be approved automatically or manually.
      • Customer Eligibility: Choose whether all customers or only those with an account can leave a review.
    • Notification Settings:
      • Email Notification: Choose whether you’d like to receive an email notification when a review is submitted.
      • Reminder Email: Decide whether a reminder email should also be sent for manual orders.
  5. Save your changes:

    Click Save to apply your settings.

Product Review Overview:

Once reviews start coming in, the page will automatically update. You’ll see a summary of the reviews, including the number of approved, pending, and total reviews. You can adjust the time range using a date picker.

View and manage reviews:

As soon as reviews are received, they will appear in the Customer Reviews section. Here you can:

  • View reviews
  • Approve or reject reviews
  • Respond to reviews
  • Delete reviews

You can navigate through the tabs Waiting Reviews, Approved Reviews, All Reviews, and Most Commented Products to view specific review types.

Filter reviews:

If you want to specifically search for certain reviews, you can filter them by various criteria. Here’s how:

  1. Add a filter:

    In the Customer Reviews section, click the Filter button on the right to add a new filter.

  2. Select a filter criterion:

    Choose the filter criterion, e.g., Star Rating or Review Source. You can also apply multiple filters at once.

  3. Set the condition and select the filter type:

    After selecting the criterion, you can refine the filter conditions. For example:

    • Criterion: Review Source
    • Value: Product Detail Page

    Choose whether you want to filter by contains or does not contain a particular value:

    • “Contains”: Displays only reviews that contain the selected value (e.g., “Review Source contains Product Detail Page” – only reviews submitted from the product detail page).
    • “Does not contain”: Excludes reviews that contain the selected value (e.g., “Review Source does not contain Product Detail Page” – all reviews not submitted from the product detail page).
  4. Apply the filter:

    Click Apply to activate the filter and display only the reviews matching your set criteria.
