How to Set Up and Use the Mailchimp App

With the Mailchimp app for ikas, you can transfer your customer data directly from the ikas dashboard to Mailchimp. Further email marketing activities - like sending newsletters or launching campaigns - are then carried out directly in Mailchimp.

What is Mailchimp?

Mailchimp is an email marketing platform that allows you to create and send newsletters, manage target audiences, and automate marketing campaigns. Thanks to the integration with ikas, synchronizing your customer data and launching targeted campaigns has never been easier.

Setting Up the App

Step 1: Install the App

  1. Log into your ikas dashboard.
  2. Go to Apps > Appstore.
  3. Search for Mailchimp and install the app.
  4. After installation, you’ll find the app under Apps > My Apps.

Step 2: Connect Your Mailchimp Account

  1. Open the Mailchimp app in the ikas dashboard.
  2. Click the Connect Mailchimp Account button.
  3. You will be redirected to Mailchimp, where you can log in with your account.
  4. After logging in, the connection will be established automatically.

Step 3: Assign Audiences & Transfer Customers

In the app, you will find two static audiences from ikas:

  • ikas Customer Who Made Purchase
  • ikas All Customers

Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Select an existing Mailchimp audience for each ikas audience.
  2. To confirm the assignment, use the Save button. Using the Transfer button, you can send the respective customer group directly to Mailchimp.
  3. In the top right corner of the app, you also have the option to log out of Mailchimp.

Note: The actual management and sending of emails takes place exclusively in Mailchimp. ikas only provides the interface for data transfer.
