How to Set Up the Dreamrobot Connector

Would you like to connect your ERP and inventory system seamlessly with ikas? Then the Dreamrobot Connector is exactly what you need. With this step-by-step guide, you’ll have everything up and running in no time.

Dreamrobot is an ERP and inventory management system that can be seamlessly integrated with ikas. The app allows the following synchronizations:

  • Products can be synced one-way from Dreamrobot to ikas.

  • Orders can be synced one-way from ikas to Dreamrobot.

Preparations: Request Dreamrobot Credentials

Before getting started in ikas, make sure you have the required credentials:

  • API Access: Contact Dreamrobot to request API access, including your API username and API password.
  • Portal Account: Create a portal account in Dreamrobot to use within ikas.

Installing and Connecting the Dreamrobot Connector in ikas

  1. Log in to your ikas dashboard.

  2. Go to Apps > Appstore and install Dreamrobot Connector.

  3. Once installed, go to Apps > My Apps and open the Dreamrobot Connector.

  4. Click Settings to begin configuration.

  5. Click Connect, then enter your API username and password.

  6. Click Save to establish the connection. The connection status should now display Connected.

  7. Select the portal account you created earlier in Dreamrobot.

General Settings

Enable the checkbox Enable integration to activate the app.

Product Synchronization Settings

Products are synced one-way from Dreamrobot to ikas at regular intervals.

Settings:

  • Enable auto sync: Activates regular syncing.

  • Auto-Update existing products: Updates existing items in ikas.

  • Auto-Create new products: Adds new products from Dreamrobot to ikas automatically.

Synced Product Data Includes:

  • Name & description (on first import)

  • Variants

  • Prices

  • Images

  • Miscellaneous Data (e.g., weight, barcode, manufacturer, supplier)

  • Attributes

Order Synchronization Settings

Orders are synced one-way from ikas to Dreamrobot, typically within 1–2 minutes of being received.

Settings:

  • Allow orders without synced products:

    • If enabled: Orders will be transferred even if they include products that haven't been synced.

    • If disabled: Only orders with synced products will be sent.

  • Payment method mapping: Match each ikas payment method to its equivalent in Dreamrobot.

  • Stock location: Choose which stock location to use for synchronization.

  • Don’t forget to click Save after updating your settings.

Product Sync Overview

Navigate to the Products tab to view all synced or mapped products. Matching is based on the SKU/item number.

Important: Make sure that SKUs match exactly in both Dreamrobot and ikas to ensure successful synchronization.

Actions:

  • Start product synchronization: Triggers a full product sync.

  • Import a single product: Syncs a specific product manually (enter product name from Dreamrobot).

Product Table Includes:

  • Links to the product in both ikas and Dreamrobot

  • Variants (if applicable)

  • SKU
  • Sync status (Green = success, Red = error)

  • Actions: Unlink product mapping

Last product sync: Shows when the last sync happened.

Order Sync Overview

In the Orders tab, you’ll see all synced or mapped orders. Once Enable integration is activated, syncing begins automatically.

Available actions:

  • Import an order: Manually sync a specific order (enter order number from ikas).

The order table displays:

  • Links to orders in both ikas and Dreamrobot

  • Order date

  • Sync status

Last order sync: Shows when the last sync happened.

Note: Orders are synced in real time via webhook – immediately after they are received.

Customer Synchronization:

  • Customers are matched using their email addresses.
  • If no match is found, a new customer will automatically be created in Dreamrobot.
