How to connect Klarna with ikas?
Would you like to offer Klarna as a payment method? Then follow these instructions:
1. Create a Klarna Business Account
To connect Klarna with ikas, you’ll first need a Klarna Business Account.
Here’s how:

Register on the Klarna Business Portal.

Make sure to create a Business Account (Klarna Business).

For the question “How do you want to use Klarna?” select:
Online Checkout – Offer Klarna as a payment option on your website

If you are asked about the platform, choose:
Own built integration
2. Generate Klarna API Credentials
Once your Klarna account is created, you can generate the API credentials.

Log in to your Klarna portal.

Go to Payment settings > Klarna API Credentials.

Click + Generate new Klarna API credentials.

Make a note of the automatically generated username and password.
Important: These credentials are displayed only once!
3. Connect Klarna with ikas
You can now integrate Klarna directly in your ikas dashboard:

Log in to your ikas dashboard.

Open the desired sales channel from the left-hand menu.

Click on the Payment Settings tab.

Choose Add Payment Method and select Klarna.

Enter the username and password you generated earlier.
-
Select the appropriate region.
-
Keep Test Mode disabled (off).

Optional: Set a minimum or maximum order value.

Enter a name and description that will appear during checkout.

Click Save.
Klarna will now appear under Sales Channel > Payment Settings.

Limit payment method to specific countries (optional):
If the payment method should only be available in certain countries, go back to the payment methods list.
Click on Edit Active Countries and select the countries where this payment method should be available.
How does the payment process work?

Customer selects Klarna:
At checkout, the customer chooses this payment method.

Order status changes to "Payment Received":
The order is marked accordingly in the system.
Your account should now be successfully connected!
