How do I connect PayPal with ikas?

Would you like to offer PayPal as a payment method? Then follow our instructions:

You can integrate PayPal directly in your ikas dashboard:

  1. Log in to your ikas dashboard.

  2. Open the desired sales channel from the left-hand menu.

  3. Click on the Payment Settings tab.

  4. Select Add payment method and click on PayPal.

  5. Click the button Connect your PayPal account.

  6. You will be redirected to PayPal. Enter the email address of your PayPal business account or register a new account.

  7. Select the appropriate country and click Next.

  8. Enter your password and log into PayPal.

  9. Click Allow and then Return to Test Shop to go back to your ikas dashboard.

Note: Don’t forget to return to the ikas dashboard using the provided button after logging in to complete the connection successfully!

The PayPal payment method will now be listed under Sales Channel > Payment Settings.


Adjusting PayPal Settings

  1. Go to the PayPal detail page and deactivate test mode (closed state).

  2. Set a minimum or maximum order value if needed.

  3. You can adjust the appearance in the PayPal Button Design section.

    Tip: You can find support in the official PayPal Button Style Guide.

  4. Click on Edit Active Countries and select the countries where PayPal should be offered.


How does the payment process work?

  1. Customer selects PayPal
    At checkout, the customer chooses PayPal as the payment method.

  2. Order receives status "Payment Received"
    The order is automatically marked accordingly in the system.


Your PayPal integration should now be successfully set up!
