How to Set Up the DPD App

Would you like to manage your DPD shipments conveniently and efficiently? Then the DPD app is exactly what you need. With this step-by-step guide, you'll have it up and running in no time.

Preparations: Request Your DPD Credentials

Before you get started in ikas, make sure you have the necessary credentials:

  1. Contact DPD and request your Delis ID and the corresponding password.
  2. Make a note of both credentials – you'll need them later to connect your account within the app.

Installing and Setting Up the DPD App in ikas

  1. Log in to your ikas dashboard.
  2. Go to Apps > Appstore and install the "DPD Versand" App.
  3. After installation, you’ll find the app under Apps > My Apps.
  4. Open the app and click on Settings to begin configuration.
  5. Click the “Connect” button to link your DPD account.
  6. Enter your Delis ID and password received from DPD.
  7. Click Save to establish the connection. 
  8. Optional: Enable the option “Send email notification when order Delivered” to automatically send your customers shipping information including a tracking link.

    Note: If you want to edit the email, go to the sales channel, click on “Notifications” in the left menu, and edit the “Order Fulfilled” email template under the “Shipment” tab.

  9. Choose the appropriate Paper format for your labels.
  10. Save your settings using the button in the top right corner.

Note: In the app, you will find the Orders tab.

There, you can view all orders with generated labels and any potential error messages.


Creating a DPD Label

  1. Go to Orders > Orders and open the relevant order.
  2. Ensure the order status is Created.
  3. Click the three-dot menu ("…") next to the “Mark as Shipped” button.
  4. Select “Packen & DPD-Label erstellen” .
  5. In the window that opens, select the products to include in the package.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the next window, choose:

    • the appropriate DPD-product,

    • and whether to include additional weight.

  8. Click Send to generate the label.
  9. The generated label will now appear in the timeline of the order and can be opened and printed from there.

After the label is created, the tracking number and tracking link are automatically added to the order, and the status of the shipped products is automatically set to "Fulfilled."

Note: "Additional address details (optional)" in customer addresses cannot be transmitted directly to DPD. As a precaution, this information will appear below the name on the DPD label.

Label Cancellation:

If a label was created incorrectly, the information can be corrected and a new label can be generated.
However, labels that have already been created cannot be canceled directly from ikas. Please cancel such labels directly in the DPD dashboard.
