To ensure a legally compliant foundation for your store, you should correctly set up essential policies such as Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Return Policy, Imprint, and Shipping Policy. These texts can be linked both in the checkout process and in the order confirmation emails. Follow these steps:

Log in to the ikas Dashboard:
Sign in to your ikas dashboard.

Access Settings:
Go to the Settings tab and select the Policy section.

Add Legal Texts:
Click on Add Policy in the top right corner.

Set Routing for the Legal Text:

In the new window, select the route for which the legal text should be used.
Note: Only one routing can be added per agreement.

Click Continue.

Choose the Type of Legal Text:
Select the type of legal text (e.g., Imprint, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy).

Configure the Legal Text:
- Enter a title for the legal text.
- Optionally, adjust the contract type or contract language.
- Use the checkbox to enable linking the legal text in the order confirmation email.
- You can modify the routing later via Edit Routing.

Add the Contract Template:

Insert your legal text in the Contract Template section.

Use placeholders to dynamically format the text (e.g., with customer data). You can insert placeholders by clicking them or typing the @ symbol.
Note: Placeholders allow you to display legal texts individually and tailored to each customer.

Save:
Click Save to add the new legal text.
After saving, the legal texts will be automatically integrated into the checkout process and/or the order confirmation emails.
Ensure Footer Linkage
